Losing weight is a goal of many, but is easier said than done. Motivation, determination, and commitment are all things that will help you in your journey. There are many “fad diets” out there that can be very misleading. The truth is, if you are looking to lose weight within say: one week, any solution that would help with that, is probably not good for your health or body. Losing weight is a long term commitment, and you need to be good to yourself during this transformation. In this article, we are going to discuss how to lose weight in 2022. Where do I start with losing weight?
Weight training, endurance, or diet? This is the number one question that those who are looking to lose weight ask. Adding endurance and weight training to your program is easy enough. For example, do this every other day with a rest on weekends. High intensity endurance (HIIT) is more effective. Diet is important, and this must also be reviewed to see if there are any changes that must be made. The strategies based on the state of hypo caloric are quicker to lose daily. Mandatory loss of muscle mass, deficiencies, fatigue and what comes with it. When we spend less energy, we get frustrated. This makes it difficult to preserve this state, and weight regain is almost systematic.
In order for your reserves to serve, you need to exercise more and move more within your daily life. For example, park two blocks away from your work. Change your mindset, and become dynamic!
What training duration is ideal for weight loss?
My clients often ask how long they should train each time in order to see the results they are looking for. The truth is, there is no such thing as the right duration, only the accumulation of exercises. 2 x 20 minutes, or 40 minutes at equal intensity gives the same results. According to the recommendations of the ACSM (American College of Sports Medicine), at least 150 minutes per week are required to lose weight at a moderate intensity.
Our secret to weight loss
Coach Fabien of La Jolla Personal Training says this: “once the exercise is complete, the body uses the fat that has been released into the bloodstream to replenish the energy reserves. This is why you should not eat after exercise when weight loss is the goal. Waiting 1 to 2 hours before eating is a good idea!”
