La Jolla Kayaking-Kayaking is a fun way to get outdoors and explore the beautiful waters of La Jolla! You can sign up for a guided tour, or rent your own kayak. A great activity for the whole family!
Biking in La Jolla-There are quite a few different bike paths to discover in La Jolla. Enjoy the beautiful coastline while exercising. This will definitely motivate you! You might even want to start doing this on the daily! These bike paths are mostly paved and wider than trails so that you have room for comfort.

Hiking in La Jolla-There are some incredible trails in La Jolla, California. Get outdoors in the fresh air, bring your family, friends, or dog along. There are so many ways to be active and have fun at the same time!

- Yucca Point Trail (1.2 miles, easy)

Surfing in La Jolla- Surfing is a very healthy sport. Getting in the water is refreshing, and therapeutic. It’s never too early (or too late) to start! Check out Surf Diva Surf Shop & School. They offer Surf Lessons, Stand Up Paddle Lessons, and board rentals. Once you get the hang of it, there are so many beautiful surf spots to enjoy on a daily basis throughout La Jolla and San Diego.
Swimming in La Jolla- Swimming is a great exercise, especially if you are looking for something with less impact. The Coggan Family Aquatic Complex is a nationally renowned aquatic center located in La Jolla. It’s open year round to the public. You can utilize this aquatic center for lap swimming, or join their Master’s Class for a more intensive workout. They also offer swim lessons, swim team, and water polo if you are looking for something active for the kids to do as well!
